#TBT – A well-deserved tribute to Geck-o’s “Soul Train.”

Finally coming to accept that summer has drawn to a depressing end and winter is fast-approaching called for some tough times. It was a bitter pill to chew when thinking that my Saturday’s would be spent shading from the cold or snuggling under blankets, as opposed to dancing wildly under blazing sunlight.

With all these sad feels, high winds and flooded shoes, it’s important to look on the bright side – and what better way to do that than to be accompanied by one of Hard Dance’s most (in my opinion) uplifting tunes. So, whilst I’m freezing my ass off, I’m proud to reveal this week’s #TBT, which belongs to none other than Hard Dance music’s ultimate innovator. Soak up the good vibrations with “Soul Train” by Geck-o.

Hold up, hold up – it feels as though we’re having a bit of deja vu when it comes to this track. Yep, we have previously chosen “Soul Train” as our #TBT; as a matter of fact, it was our first ever TBT tribute on Alive at Night. All aside, this tune seriously deserves a second dose of credit – it’s absolutely incredible!

It’s old news that Mr. Geck-o has absolutely no boundaries, gives no fucks about what everybody else is doing and most importantly, there’s no censor on his wild imagination. Boasting one of the most diverse and interesting discographies, we’re putting this creative mind in the spotlight today as we pay our respects to a certain production of his – “Soul Train.”

This hard-trance flavoured number isn’t able to be shoved into a box; it’s uplifting nature and strong melody have the ability to send shivers down your spine, whilst the underground vibes pack in such a unique energy and power into the track. “Soul Train” is some serious business and is definitely (in my opinion) Geck-o’s strongest production. I don’t typically refer to music as ever being ‘cute,’ but fuck, that melody is actually the most adorable thing that I’ve ever heard in my life.
