Today, it’s January 18th, which means that temperatures may be creeping down to snow, but good times are ahead because the 2016 Summer festival season kicks off in less than three months! Yes, times are tough right now as were stuck in the depths of winter, but in a matter of months, you’ll be putting together the perfect festival outfit before your jet out the door to have the time of your life at Rebirth Festival. The months from April until September will be spent in joy as you embark on a fulfilling journey to conquer a festival weekly and no matter how many Sunday’s you wake up screaming “I’M NEVER DRINKING AGAIN,” you know deep down in your heart that by the time next Saturday comes and you’ve just arrived at another festival, you won’t be able to resist the fun.

In anticipation of the upcoming festival season of summer 2016, I’ve composed something special to get you all extra hyped! As the ultimate gee-up guide, I’ve got you guys covered with everything from pictures from previous seasons, to recaps and also some announcements and updated information regarding this upcoming season!

– Defqon.1

Let’s kick things off with the centrepiece of all harder styles festivals – Defqon.1! Held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June, this ultimate gathering is the GO TO for an all-round life-changing experience! Those who have attended last years’ edition can vouch that there’s no greater feeling than running at full speed to the blue and black tents the second those gates open or even simply watching those beside you flood into the blue and black tents the minute the pre-party kicks off.

Recently, Q-Dance has released some updated information about this years’ Defqon.1 Festival:
– Regular ticket sales begin at 13:00 (CET) on the 26th of March.- Defqon.1 Travel & Stay packages and Friends Camp sales begin at 13:00(CET) on the 3rd of March.
– For groups consisting of 20 or more people you can reserve a spot for your crew at the Friends Camp.

Rebirth Festival

Otherwise known as the ‘first festival of the season,’ Rebirth Festival is also notorious for being one of the wildest bashes in the season! After months of hibernation, on the 9th of April thousands of excited ravers will dust off the cobwebs and party as if it’s the last day on Earth! In light of the news about Frequencerz debut album, day two of Rebirth will see the duo taking over the mainstage for their exclusive ‘Medium Rare’ hosting. Day 1 (Saturday) has already been marked 70% sold out, so be sure to get on it ASAP!

Hardshock Festival

Hardcore lovers, prepare yourselves for one of the biggest bashes of the season – Hardshock – The 5th Statement. With the impressive line-up released a short time ago, this 100% hardcore festival is set to be bigger and better this year! Held at a new location spread over six diverse stages, you can expect the entire spectrum of hardcore to be covered!

Intents Festival

It’s no surprise that both Saturday, weekend and Intents City tickets for Intents Festival are already sold out! After grabbing the deserved #1 spot on festivalchart.nl, this colossal weekend festival is one that solely focusses on the finer details such as design, theme and production as well as the all-round great atmosphere. Part of the line-up has already been revealed and boasts huge names like Da Tweekaz, Partyraiser, Adaro, Crypsis, Paul Elstak, Warface, Korsakoff and many more.

We’re calling it – Intents Festival is one of the most enjoyable events in the summertime; the vibe is perfect, the stages are always awesome and it’s an all-round skitz time.

WiSH Outdoor

This year, renowned multi-genre festival WiSH Outdoor celebrates its 10th anniversary! All early bird tickets are already sold out, so keep your eyes out on their social media pages to find out more information about regular ticket sales. We can’t wait to see which artists are set to perform at this incredible event and judging by the previous editions, we assume that it’s going to be a fucking rad weekend!

The Qontinent

Otherwise known as Belgium’s secret weapon, 3-day festival The Qontinent is one of the most anticipated events of the season! Covering a 360 view on the harder styles, this colossal weekend event boasts brilliant stage designs, a light-hearted atmosphere and great facilities. No announcements regarding this years’ edition have been made as of yet, however as it’s only January, you can expect to hear more in the coming months. In the meantime, relive the magic from last years’ edition with the aftermovie!

Dominator

“DO-MIN-A-TORRRR!” This is THE festival to attend if you’re down for something a little different. Yes, Dominator is the festival where all the cooked cunts run into the water and dance to hardcore. Held on the 16th of July at E3 Strand in Eersel, you can expect huge things from this years’ edition. More important information is yet to come, so stay tuned on the event page.

Hard Island

Sick of doing the same old ‘festival?’ if so, you should give Hard Island a go this year! After the amazing first edition in 2015, this unique event is back once again. Held at Zrce Beach in Croatia from the 5th until the 8th of July, this event is one like no other, boasting some of the biggest names in hard dance like Angerfist, AniMe, Art Of Fighters, Code Black, Brennan Heart, Da Tweekaz, Paul Elstak, Radical Redemption, Villain and many more yet to be announced!

Mysteryland

Held on the 27th and 28th of August is one of the most authentic and loved Dutch festivals – Mysteryland. Notorious for having the most beautiful designs we’ve ever seen at a festival, Mysteryland is not one to be missed!
