#TBT – A well deserved tribute to Headhunterz’ “Scrap Attack.”

And just like that wildest, most turnt and most exciting weekend is on the realms of our reality… Yep, I’m indeed talking about THE biggest, most exquisite Hard Dance gathering in the entire globe – I’m talking about motherfucking DEF-QON-ONE. In approximately 24 hours, tens of thousands of weekend warriors will flood over the dreaded bridge and disperse themselves amongst the campsite where they will gather their tribes in anticipation for the infamous pre-party. Ah, just thinking about it is giving me shivers; Defqon.1 really is the best time of the year and this year we’ve got huge expectations!

On a more relevant note, as a Defqon.1 special, we chose an incredibly special track to pay our respects to. Serving as one of the most memorable Defqon.1 anthems to date, this track has a reserved space in our hearts for as long as we live. So without further ado, we are proud to present our spotlighted track for this week with the honours going to Headhunterz for his 2009 Defqon.1 anthem “Scrap Attack.”

Yep, this one is a sure fire favourite amongst harder styles fanatics around the globe and we can preach that this is one of the greatest, most iconic anthems in the entire catalogue of Hardstyle. Not only does “Scrap Attack” bring fans back to a time where Headhunterz ruled the world, but it also has that cohesive, majestic vibe that’s sometimes lacking in modern works. Another mention goes to the whole notion of Scrap Attack and used materials, I still feel that this was one of the strongest themes that Q-dance created and of course, who could forget the lyrics in the anthem?! Everything in this track is simply golden; the jubliant melody, the sound design and the overall storyline makes this number one for the books!
