Artist of the month – September, 2016!
As we roll into September, it’s as if the entire festival season has literally slipped away before our eyes! But have no fear, it’s not over until we say so and as far as we know, we’ve still got a few weeks to throw it down before indoor season kicks off. Looking back on this incredible summer, we cannot help but feel euphoric about memories made, parties experienced and spontaneous, yet golden moments that we couldn’t ever foresee. Speaking of feeling euphoric and also entering a brand new month, it’s time to yet again introduce a spotlighted act to represent September.
This particular act have risen to unthinkable heights in a short amount of time, conquering stages of utmost exclusivity and topping charts with their signature euphoric style. No, you’re not seeing double, there’s in fact two of them – so ladies and gentlemen, give it up for our artist(s) of the month, Sound Rush!
Twin brothers Jeroen and Martijn Boeren comprise one of Hardstyle’s most notorious teams – I mean, c’mon, the fact that they’re twins makes it that much cooler! Debuting their skills under their previous alias Sound Rusherz back in 2011, the guys refined their name to Sound Rush in 2014 and instantly there was no stopping them!
Releasing “Open Your Eyes” on Derailed Traxx.Grey’s catalogue, 2015 brought further prosperity for the duo, who dropped euphoric bombs such as “Froz3n,” “I Can’t Stay,” “Magical” and “Take Me Back” to name a few. Their spine-shivering melodies, floaty synths and heart-melting vocals made Sound Rush as an unstoppable force to be reckoned with as they even managed to over-take other producers who’d been in the game for longer. Proving to be on a creative roll all throughout 2015, their hard work in the studio paid off and their several releases were welcomed by the scene with open arms, resulting in an ever-expanding fan-base.
After their immense effort in 2015, Sound Rush soon saw their hard work flourish into great things, as the guys found their name plastered on line-ups for the world’s biggest events, including Dream Village, The Qontinent, CRAFT, Dreamfields Festival, Airbeat One, Summerfestival and many more. The pair even managed to score themselves a spot on colossal mainstages at Mysteryland, Defqon.1 and Decibel Outdoor, which is a huge achievement for such a young act.
Peeking into 2016 and Sound Rush have already dropped some immense tracks, which are shining in their discography. “Unshakable” featuring Exilium captivated fans around the globe with it’s swingy, yet catchy sound and unique atmosphere and let’s not forget about the powerful melodic bomb “Lifetime,” a track that really proved the guys’ capabilities. Already anticipating a line of fresh releases for the remainder of 2016, we can only assume that fans are craving to get their dose of quality melodic tunes!
Boasting an ever-evolving sound that’s packed with boundless energy and euphoric vibes, a captivating on-stage performance and the overall full package of modern entertainers, Sound Rush undoubtedly have a huge future in store! For those who haven’t yet been infected by their catchy, yet sophisticated sound, we suggest you check their music or one of their performances out. These guys really are bringing melodic music back into fashion!
