Artist Of The Month – December: CRYPSIS.
As we roll around to the end of the year, various announcements regarding the upcoming festival season are surfacing and when I was preparing this month’s “Artist Of The Month,” one particular guy caught onto my senses.
Grzegorz Luzynski, or better known as Crypsis has encountered an incredibly successful 2014 that is truly worth celebrating. He has climbed his way through the world of hardstyle with his incredibly unique signature sound and not to mention, being part of the most anticipated live act, Minus Militia.
But first, let us take a short trip through the magical path and creation of Crypsis…
Prior to the birth of the act Crypsis, Grzegorz was under the hardcore spell and alias Crucifier as a part of the Angerfist live act. His unique view on hardcore and hardstyle music is what truly paved the way for his future career and it’s productions which were a freshly unique blend of the best elements of both genres of hard dance music. Shortly after Grzegorz began his productions underneath the umbrella of hardstyle, his career took a turn and his music gained a particular liking from hardstyle legend Luna.
His debut as Crypsis was able to prove his unique musical vision and abilities under Luna’s label Minus Is More which led him to release his first album, “Statement Of Intent” in 2009. It’s no secret that around 2009, the finest hardstyle was being produced and the old-school sound was enrapturing listeners around the world, however Crypsis strove to create something a little different. His surprisingly well-working combination of hardcore and hardstyle elements truly pushed the boundaries of hardstyle and made its mark on the world.
Grzegorz’ passion for music and futuristic vision of hardstyle is what really set him apart from many artists who were experimenting with “harder” sounds and shaping raw hardstyle into what it is today.
In recent times, Crypsis has stood amongst crowds at some of the most anticipated parties in the world including both Defqon.1 in The Netherlands and Australia, Loudness, Decibel and also who could forget this phenomenal performance at Qlimax 2014 (Click Here to read about his performance at Qlimax). Crypsis has also proudly announced his hosting of his very own area at Rebirth in 2015 which will most certainly be a highlight to his career.
So it is no secret that Crypsis has earned his title as one of the most renowned names in the scene today. His hard work, dedication and unique outlook on the musical elements of hardstyle makes him a force to be reckoned with…
