In a flash, October has come and gone, becoming home to a handful of great events and not to mention, some incredible music! So what’s been on our radar? Based on quality, catchiness and all-round vibe, we hand-picked our 10 favourites from this month that range through hardstyle and even tek and hardcore! Do you agree with our choices? If you do, or don’t, let us know in the comments!
10. Enyqma – Bring It On
I’d never heard of Enyqma, until today when I was practically blown away by his track “Bring It On.” The quality of this production was just one thing that I noticed as well as the range of sounds he used, including the clever use of percussion.
Showcasing a high level of drive and enthusiasm within this production, my level of curiosity is growing for this young producer, who is someone that we’ll definitely keep a close eye on! With some more time and studio experience, I don’t have a doubt in my mind that Enyqma will be on everybody’s radar!
9. The Prophet – Reverse Bass
Did someone say reverse bass?!
The title says it all for me! As a huge sucker for the good ole’ times, one thing I absolutely LOVE is when producers bring back original hard dance elements and inject them into modern productions. This is just one of the reasons why I love this bangin’ new hit by The Prophet.
Although he’s been around for so long to earn the title as the ‘godfather,’ this pioneer is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down as he is continuing to smash out an impressive collection of tunes!
8. Endymion – Sweet Insanity
Veering away from their own label for a one-off release, Nightbreed legends Endymion have one hell of a track on their hands! One particular aspect of this track that I must commend is its fucking sick vocals, it really brings forward that whole ‘animalistic’ side to letting loose to the music! Endymion have pushed forward their strong signature sound at such a force that it’s hard to believe that these guys have only been a part of the hardstyle scene for less than one year!
7. Gunz For Hire – Brooklyn
Exclusive live-act Gunz For Hire have been showing absolutely no signs of slowing down this year, holding one of the most unprecedented discographies within the hardstyle scene, releasing music of an exceptional quality and of course, blowing crowds away worldwide! Their newest release “Brooklyn” is no exception to the rule as it brings that exciting G4H charm, hard f*cking kicks and ruthless vibes from the core!
This track kind of makes me want to relocate to Brooklyn just so I can cruise down the street blasting it.
6. Dyprax & MC Nolz – Posse Of The Hard (Syndicate Anthem 2015)
Oh yeah, it’s hardcore time!
A little different to what we usually support but this track is out of this fucking world! Bringing back a fresh wave of invigoration that hardcore is made to bring, Dyprax has a true masterpiece on his hands which was also the representative of this years’ killer edition of Syndicate. “Posse Of The Hard” is what hardcore is all about so for those of you who want to step outside of your usual hardstyle box, we definitely recommend this tune!
5. Malua – Ferocity
After her first release on Scantraxx Silver, femme fatale Malua is back with a second release and guess what? It’s fucking HUGE. Building her credability as an all-rounder, “Ferocity” showcases a striking balance between hard beats yet still retains catchiness and an overall great quality. Relentles in its nature, this banger is the perfect party tune, so f*ck your Tuesday and let loose!
This boss bitch is one to keep an eye out on and we can’t wait to hear what she comes up with next!
4. Ran-D – FCK EDM
“Here we go again, FUCK EDM!”
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, every hard dance fanatic should be well aware of the above vocals! As a part of the “Firestarter EP” comes the widely acclaimed track “FCK EDM” which brutally gives the middle finger to the mainstream, highlighting once again why hard dance is the greates! However, we must warn you, this masterpiece is not suitable for the faint-hearted…
Gathering an impressive amount of playing time since it was first teased in 2014, the release date finally came for this bomb-of-a-track this month and fans could not be happier!
3.Wasted Penguinz & Rebourne – Univerze
This next track needs no introduction apart from: WOW. Floating around within their sets as a TBA for quite some time, “Univerze” by Wasted Penguinz and Rebourne is the definition of pure melodic perfection. From their past collaborations, we very well know by now that everytime these guys are locked behind studio doors together, true magic happens.
The fresh and invigorating burst of energy this track brings is incredible and such dynanism is rare to achieve nowadays within euphoric hardstyle, however these two acts hit the nail square on the head!
2. Mark With A K – See Me Now (For What It’s Worth)
Dedicated to his father, who he lost when he was just 17, Mark With A K breaks the forth wall between himself and listeners, showing vulnerability with this beautiful and emotionally charged track. Up-beat and melodic in its nature, “See Me Now” also brings a certain melancholia through the vocals and storyline, making it relateable to all listeners.
When it comes to Tek, we can be quite critical, however MWAK never ceases to amaze with his timeless music – it’s produced well and is enjoyable for kinds of hard dance fanatics!
1. Coone & Max Enforcer – LOVE X HATE *WINNER*
Wow, this track is seriously magical! Pioneers Coone and Max Enforcer have made some masterpieces lately, however this one takes the cake! Bringing back that beloved summer festival atmosphere, this track also reflects on the scene as a whole and the mind-set of the fans with a laidback vibe, exclaiming that “lovers gonna love, haters gonna hate…” The track itself sounds great, it’s catchy, has a relatable storyline and also goes off live – what more could we ask for?!
What would be great would be to see these two masterminds joining forces more often, because the result of “LOVE X HATE” has made such an impact on the scene with its all-round appeal, powerful, yet melodic structure and easy listening approach.
Nothing but love for this one!
