The hour of the Midnight Mafia’s rise to power drew near. There were few now who dared to oppose the Family. The only ones who did still resist were older, more powerful foes. The last to fall were indeed two of the hard dance scene’s most fearsome enemies: Conformity and Authority. Combined, the two wrestled with the Midnight Mafia for control of the city.

To gain the upper hand, the Family needed to take a new approach. The usual tactics would not suffice here. To win this battle, they needed an edge, some kind of wildcard to grant them mastery in musical warfare. All this whilst still maintaining the balance between ferocity and the finesse needed to outfox their opponents.

The Midnight Mafia needed a weapon. They needed hitmen. They needed hardcore.

1.) Being the hitmen of Midnight Mafia, what are your weapons of choice?
2 fine AK-47s loaded with ruthless 170bpm+ beats.

2.) Both of you have collaborated on releases and for sets before, what are the best parts of working together?
We are on the exact same page when it comes to music. We both like variety in sets as well as productions and are open for different and unusual elements. That’s what make our collaborations work so well.

3.) Angerfist, you’re performing at Midnight Mafia as part of your Deadfaced Dimension World Tour. The album was really well received by the hardcore community here, did you have a favourite track from the album?
I’m really happy with the entire album and in my personal opinion this is my best release so far. If I have to choose a favorite, it would probably be Bad Attitude. I like the rebellious kind of vibe in it.

4.) Miss K8, you helped develop the hardcore scene in your homeland Ukraine. What would you say is the key to helping a hardcore community grow?
Passion for the music. It’s the basic and most important part of trying to help build a scene. In Ukraine the scene is relatively small, but the crowd is very intense about it and djs love to play there. When it comes to a great party atmosphere, Ukraine is the place to be.

5.) If you guys could describe Midnight Mafia in one word, what would it be?
Badass.
