The Road to Victory: Introducing the New Era of Australian Hard Dance Music

On the 16th of September, Defqon.1 will once again return to the land down under. Australia has long been viewed as the world’s second hearth for Hard Dance Music and it’s about time that tag is changed. This year Q-dance have placed a rather large emphasis on our home grown artists and for good reason. Australia’s favourite producers are ready to the next steps in their career.

The Road to Victory is an initiative designed to showcase the breadth and talent of Australia’s producers, and to bring their artistic passions and goals to the forefront of the Hard Dance world. 20 Aussie producers have been chosen to take this journey in the 12 weeks leading up to their performances at Defqon.1, and together with their supporters each artist will strive to carve their own mark in the woodwork of the broader Hard Dance scene. You can expect to see all of your favourite locals bringing new concepts and ideas to the table, as well as a ton of new and exciting musical content.

For too long our artists have been flying under the radar, so here at Alive at Night we have decided to pick a handful of these producers to take a deeper look into. With acts like SynthSoldier, BLN, Fanatics and The Strangerz on board, our aim is to display the hard work these local heroes are putting in behind the screens and cement their bond between themselves and their supporters.

Ultimately, you might have noticed that a lot of local producers have been quiet lately, but let me assure you, there is a storm coming. So close your windows, button down the hatches and prepare yourself for the new era of Australian Hard Dance Music – The Road to Victory!
