#TBT – A well deserved tribute to D-Block & S-te-Fan’s “Music Made Addict.”

Jump inside of your mind and think back to day you were acquainted with Hardstyle. Maybe you accidentally came across the genre during a random mix-tape or podcast, or maybe that one pushy friend finally convinced you to tag along to a party? Some slightly overwhelmed by the constant bass pounding relentlessly at 150BPM, others immediately became determined to hook themselves up to an IV drip that pumped Hardstyle through their veins 24/7. Whatever your story writes, the vast majority of die-hards can all agree that this love affair was one worth falling into…

Feeling a little nostalgic today, I began reminiscing over iconic tracks that have the power to lure in new and prospective listeners. Despite their ample playing time, these transcendent gems of sound never get old, leading me to pick a very special #TBT that I know will swirl up some cherished memories for many of our readers. This certain feel-good number was the starting point for many Hardstyle aficionados, marking the beginning of their love affair, so with that being said, it’s about time we paid tribute to this LE-GEN-DARY hit. Ladies and gentlemen, we present out spotlighted track this week – “Music Made Addict” by D-Block & S-te-Fan.

It almost feels like forever ago when DBSTF’s “Music Made Addictz” album was released in 2009. This influential and driven masterpiece was and still is a paragon of what Hardstyle is. Melodies, hard kicks, catchy vocals and 110% energy; don’t you all remember that this was what the genre was about? It wasn’t about being the toughest MF on the planet or (as fun as it is) kickrolling until your arms fell off; it was about immersing yourself in an exciting revolution that others didn’t understand and living and breathing for this music. “Music Made Addict” represents everything that the music and community stands for and although things have changed and evolved over time, this track will always have a special place in fans hearts.
