Despite the unwritten rivalry that seems to exist between mainstream house and Hardstyle, this year it seems that it has vanished a little bit, as producers from both genres have formed quite the liking to each other. It’s evident that many artists outside the harder styles have formed a special interest toward the genre, regularly dropping 150BPM and above during their sets, however a rather unlikely name has also began experimenting and teamed up with one of our most cherished names.

Moments ago, a picture surfaced Noisecontrollers’ Instagram, showing long-standing Dutch artist Sander van Doorn sitting in the studio with Noisecontrollers. Yes, Noisecontrollers! What seems like an unlikely combo could bring forth something fresh, innovative and boundary breaking and before you can ask, we can assure you that it’s going to be next-level!

Of course we had to get more information about this stellar team-up, so we managed to pull Noisecontrollers aside for a cheeky enquiry. When we asked Bas about the collaboration, he was a little coy to say the least, but we did manage to squeeze a little extra info out of him: “Something special will be coming up at Defqon.1 this weekend, so stay tuned!”
