Poll Results: The best summer festival of 2016′ goes to…
Last weekend 444 of you voted for the ‘favourite hard dance festival of 2016’. Although it is highly questionable if this amount is an accurate representation of our vast scene, we didn’t want to withhold the results, so here we go!
DEFQON.1 has been voted by you, by 227 voters, as favourite hard dance festival of 2016. Slightly more than half of the total votes went to this leading concept of Q-dance, once more underlining why this is the most well-known festival evolved from within our scene. A mixture of flabbergasting stage decorations, a gigantic line-up, concepts like the power hour and the closing ceremony, along with the shocking comeback of Headhunterz under the flag of DEFQON.1 LEGENDS, seem to have paved the way for yet another gigantic successful edition.
With 67 votes, Intents outdoor Festival has been voted as second best; an awesome outcome for one of the fastest growing hard dance outdoor festivals. Surely, the beautiful weather, an amazingly designed mainstage, and an awesome and original concept of ‘It’s all in the game’ – which was implemented in even the smallest details – made its visitors highly excited by this year’s edition. Surely, this festival has only begun to explore its boundaries and set expectations high for its 2017 edition…
Decibel Outdoor Festival came out to be – perhaps a bit disappointing – in third place with 55 votes. After last year’s edition didn’t quite meet the expectations of its visitors, this year’s edition resulted in a blistering comeback. Beforehand, b2s set some high expectations as they claimed this year’s edition was going to be “bigger, better and louder.” With a massive, and probably one of the most impressive mainstages so far, an unmatched successful formula in terms of the ‘extreme loudness’ stage, and some amazing eye for detail, b2s was able to wash away the disappointment of last year. Although ended in a third place, Decibel again adhered its promise to transform its crowd into “one pulsing organism.”
Thank you all for voting. Now let us sit and wait out the cold and harsh winter to, yet again, bloom when the summer festival season starts!
