After the infamous picture of Audiofreq’s album concept was floating relentlessly around the internet, Sam took his thoughts to the renowned hardstyle forum ‘Harderstate,’ in order to explain this concept to his fans in more detail.

This is what Audiofreq revealed about his upcoming album:

“This album is about Audio Alchemy and I am the Alchemist. I will be discovering, combining and transmuting different elements in search of (audio) gold.

For those that don’t know, Alchemy was a precursor to Chemistry that died in the 19th Century. It was a pseudoscience that tried to uncover the secret workings of nature and and how to turn common elements into gold.

Each polyhedron represents a different facet of music: Emotion, expression/approach, influences and genre. To put it very simply, before I start a new tune: I roll the dice, see what comes up and write that as best as I can.

This is a principle I call ‘Chance Dance Music or The Application of Controlled Randomness to Inspire Creativity.’

It was only a little over one year ago that this Australian mastermind released his first album “Audioception,” so we are extremely curious to see what he will bring to the table this time and whether it can top his previous efforts…

However, this new concept looks unique and truly complex! We cannot wait to hear the experiments that Sam has cooked up for us on his new album. We are also curious to see how he will depict this ‘theme’ in his style of music, we are surely hoping for something fresh and experimental!
