HTID In The Sun 2017: Your Ultimate Rave Holiday Is About to Begin!
Over the last few days, ravers in the UK and much further afield have been carefully packing their very best raving outfits into their suitcases and jetting off to Magaluf ready for the world’s most prestigious celebration of UK Hardcore music, we are talking of course about HTID In The Sun 2017, which starts in just two days from now!
Every single night at the main event there will be a completely free bar for all ravers, yes that’s almost unbelievable but it is true, so whether you’re holidaying with your squad, making new friends or reuniting with old rave buddies, let those spirits flow freely as you immerse yourself in this epic four night party experience.
There will be sunshine, beaches, beers, shots and cocktails and there will most definitely be four insane nights full of your favourite UK Hardcore music.
With a line up this stacked it would be virtually impossible to pick out just some highlights, so here’s the full rundown of what’s coming up this week out at HTID In The Sun.
Big Wednesday
It’s the first night of the holiday so we’re all revved up and ready to hit the dancefloor! Cotts and Ravine drop the very first beats, followed up to the decks by Callum Higby. Gammer officially kicks off proceedings at midnight, followed by Atmozfears (yes, Atmozfears!) making his HTID debut. HTID founding father Hixxy takes to the decks at 2am for his first set of the week and then #ItsYaBoy Alex Prospect will close the night. MC Storm hosts all night and will make sure you’re still rocking all the way through to sunrise.
Thursday Foam Party
It’s the foam party tonight so let’s get messy and remember to ask for ‘the red drink’ at the bar – they’ll know exactly which one you mean! JTS and MOB open the night, followed by Macks Wolf who will hand over to Darren Styles for the midnight kick off set. Darren Styles and Mark Breeze each have a solo set tonight, D-Block & S-te-fan will bring the Hardstyle and at 3AM we will witness an HTID In The Sun exclusive as Audiofreq (formerly known as Orbit1) plays his first UK Hardcore set in several years, unveiling the new music he’s been working on! MCs Keyes, Enemy and Storm are on mic duties tonight, while Joey Riot and Kurt will be closing with a pumping Powerstomp set.
Flashback Friday
If you were one of the lucky punters to get a ticket for the Boat Party, which sold out super quickly, you’ll be starting the party early today because that boat sets sail at midday! Joey Riot, Gammer, Outforce, Jakka-B, MC Enemy and MC Keyes will be on board to keep you stomping across the high seas.
Friday night at the club is all about the classics, with Al Storm and Klubfiller getting the party started, followed by Hixxy and Dougal who will be bringing us a Bonkers classics set. Da Tweekaz then take over with the Hardstyle classics and I’d bet there will be some rubber ducks around on the stage and in the crowd!
Scott Brown has a whole world of Evolution Records classics to select from for his set, while Kevin Energy will be diving into the Freeform Hardcore archives. Fracus & Darwin present Hardcore Underground classics and the night will wrap up with a very special Quosh anthems set from Chris Unknown. It’s a big night for the MCs, with Obie, Keyes, Whizzkid and Storm all in the house.
Monster Saturday
How are ya’ll feeling out there? It’s the last night of the party are you ready to go hard for one more night? MC Enemy and MC Storm are hosting tonight and make sure you’re at the club when doors open because Kutski is up first, then it’s over to the Aussies Weaver and Suae before Hixxy’s midnight kick off set. At 1am, one of the most highly regarded producers in the scene, by both artists and ravers alike, Stonebank, steps up to the decks for an hour of pure euphoria.
Keeping us firmly in that state of mind, Code Black is up next and then for the last two hours we’re in the hands of the two leading duos in UK Hardcore history. Breeze & Styles will have undoubtedly have everyone singing along in fine voice during their Clubland Classics set, then Dougal & Gammer will bring it on home with the very last set of the week.
If you’re flying home on Sunday, we wish you a very pleasant flight! Personally I made it to the airport last year with just ten minutes to spare and still wearing last night’s make up so this year I’m staying an extra day to catch some sun, relax and look back over this unforgettable raving holiday experience. Whether you’re staying on for an extended holiday or flying straight back to reality, we hope you have an amazing time at HTID In The Sun!
