50 amazing tracks that will make you fall in love with hardcore (2015)
2015 has been an interesting year for hardcore. Many producers have further veered away from the traditional mainstream hardcore sound, opting for something harder and faster and some producers have even gone back to earlier sounds, celebrating the genre’s roots. Nevertheless, it’s been a prosperous year filled with new names, great releases and a diverse range of sounds!
As we roll into the final days of the year, it’s time we take a look back over the last twelve months and the music that our ears have been blessed with. For those who have fallen out of love with the higher BPM’s, it’s time to get yourself back in the loop; which is why we’ve composed a list of 50 incredible hardcore tracks that consist of mainstream, UK Hardcore, old-school and of course, a few experimentals! Open your mind and we can assure that you will fall head-over-heels with this list!
Advanced Dealer – Hellscream
Advanced Dealer – NSTFR
“NSTFR” which is short for ‘never stop the fucking rave’ is a little slower than most modern-day hardcore tracks. Well actually, it’s pretty much the same tempo as some hardstyle tracks out there but who cares, it’s fucking great, right? I love the way this track is structured and the overall vibe; Advanced Dealer is doing some great things, it’s a shame he’s so underrated!
Alien T feat. Alee – Our Light
It’s hard, but don’t be fooled because the melody is out of this world! This track contains everything that hardcore should, including good fucking vibes! Love this one, big ups to Alien T and Alee.
Angerfist & MC Nolz – Raise & Revolt
After releasing several albums, Angerfist is still going strong! Taken from his latest album, the titled track “Raise & Revolt,” brings the goods! It’s energetic, slightly majestic and hard as fuck!
AniMe – Terrordome
Femme fatale AniMe has released quite a few bangers, however “Terrordome” takes the cake! Pure Italian hardcore in its finest form, this energetic number is especially good for those long workout sessions.
Amnesys – Embrace The Ultimate
Below are two tracks from another incredible Italian producer, Amnesys! He’s been doing some great things in 2015, including releasing “Embrace The Ultimate” and “Shockwave,” two standout tracks that showcase some pretty damn impressive skills in the studio! They’re hard, energetic and prove that the Italians are leading when it comes to hardcore!
Amnesys feat. MC Axys – Shockwave
Art Of Fighters & DJ Predator – Hellfire
Personally, I think that Art Of Fighters are some of the most worthy contenders in hardcore; regardless of the ever-changing scene, these guys never cease to release hits! “Hellfire” with DJ Predator is yet another sick track that’s hard, fast and has an unrelenting energy!
Code Black & Atmozfears – Accelerate (Darren Styles Edit)
A quick apology to Code Black and Atmozfears, but once Darren Styles got his hands on “Accelerate” the track went from a 6/10 to a solid 9. For me, sometimes all a cheesy euphoric track needs is a UK Hardcore edit to make it a hell of a lot more interesting. In The Netherlands UK Hardcore really doesn’t get the recognition it deserves; maybe because it’s not ‘brutal’ or ‘serious’ enough, but nevertheless, it guarantees a good fucking time!
Darren Styles & Re-Con feat. Matthew Steeper – Rest Of Your Life
Yep, more Darren Styles! Many of you would be original with Da Tweekaz’ remix of “Rest Of Your Life,” but I’ve included the original because face it, who needs 150BPM when you got 170BPM?! Again, it’s important to include UK Hardcore in this article; no, it’s not tough or aggressive, however it’s a style that offers listeners to explore a whole new leaf of hard dance music.
D-Fence – Krakaka
This track practically came out of nowhere and immediately took the hardcore scene by storm! It’s repetitive, yes, but it’s a track that you can’t resist going crazy to.
Dougal & Gammer – The World
Sorry, not sorry. More UK Hardcore coming for you!
DJ Mad Dog & MC Jeff – A Real Voice
We’ve now got five brilliant tracks from the Italian stallion Mad Dog! Everything this dude touches turns to gold and 2015 has been such a great year for him. He’s released a handful of top-notch tracks and if you don’t believe me then you should hear for yourself!
DJ Mad Dog & Unexist – Disproving God (Destructive Tendencies Remix)
When I think Destructive Tendencies, my mind goes no further than aggressive, uptempo music; however this remix actually retains quite an accessible sound.
DJ Mad Dog, MC Nolz & MC Syco – The Apocalypse
DJ Mad Dog & Rob Gee – Namasté Motherfuckers
DJ Mad Dog – Not My Tempo
Many of you would recognise the vocal sample from Adaro & Digital Punk’s “Whiplashed,” however Mad Dog’s “Not My Tempo” brings forth a whole new light on those vocals. I seriously can’t get enough of this one; it makes me fall in love with hardcore all over again.
Furyan – Bombshell
Below I have added four tracks by Furyan, who in my opinion is one of the most promising names in hardcore. His sound crosses over from accessible to harder and faster in some tracks. For those who aren’t familiar with him, I suggest that you get listening to these tracks; they will spark some love, especially “Rugged.”
Furyan – The Reckoning
Furyan – Rugged
Furyan – The Sound
Icha – Bitch
Another incredibly promising name in hardcore is Icha. Don’t be fooled by the long hair; this boss bitch plays rough and you can hear that in her impressive discography, including the two featured tracks “Bitch” and “Killing Time.”
Icha – Killing Time
Kasparov & System Shock – Innocent
We’ve featured “Innocent” before on the site and we’re about to do it again! Along with the hard kicks and pure energy that hardcore brings, “Innocent” also tells a story through it’s vocals and catchy melody.
Molly – Beneath The Lights (Darren Styles Remix)
Yep, some more Darren Styles! This is one of his cheesier remixes, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t love it! I’m really hoping that UK Hardcore has a huge comeback in 2016; would be nice to see something ‘happier’ coming back into fashion.
Neophyte, Tha Playah & The Viper – Rebel Dizz
What a track! A little slower than most of today’s hardcore, but “Rebel Dizz: still packs a powerful punch!
Nosferatu & Art Of Fighters – Devil’s Mind
Nosferatu – Sanctity Of Space
“Sanctity Of Space” is a little dreamier than most hardcore, but that’s why we love it! It starts off a little more gentle then builds up to reveal demolishing kicks before the track mellows out into that huge main melody.
Omegatypez – Take Me High (Kutski & Gammer Remix)
Ophidian – Fire
Ophidian is one hell of a producer. His sound is so diverse and experimental, but unfortunately he’s quite underrated. Although “Fire” is a little more accessible than the rest of his discography, it’s still a bangin’ tune that I can’t get enough of. The melody will melt you.
Pandorum – Awakening
Speaking of underrated names, Pandorum is also a producer who doesn’t get the attention that he deserves. His music is so timeless and magical and the way he adds those experimental elements in is just genuis. “Awakening” is slower than traditional hardcore and doesn’t contain much aggression, however it’s such a great listening track; you can literally feel yourself drifting off into a parallel universe.
Pandorum – No Choice
“No Choice” has got to be my absolute favourite track at the moment; I just can’t get enough of that larger-than-life atmosphere! When the drop comes, I just want to tie up my shoelaces and sprint down the street as fast as I can; let me tell you, not many hardcore tracks today make me feel like that. Many hardcore producers have fallen into the trap of overdoing the aggression, but not Pandorum; he shifts his focus to create such real feelings in his music and I have so much respect for him for doing his own thing.
Pandorum – Sacrifice
Promo feat. Ophidian – Unacceptable
Radical Redemption & Miss K8 – Scream
Radical going hardcore? I love it! Teaming up with Miss K8, the pair have created an energetic bomb that’s ready to explode.
Re-Style & Bass-D – Keep Freakin’
It’s always refreshing to hear a hardcore track that takes a melodic approach. This old-flavoured track by Re-Style and Bass-D proves that the roots of hardcore should be cherished and that no matter where things are headed that hardcore will never die.
Re-Style & Korsakoff – Skream
Scott Brown – Control Your Body
You would’ve definitely heard that vocal sample before in hardstyle, but let me tell you that once the BPM is amped up it’s a hell of a lot better! Long-standing UK Hardcore producer Scott Brown can do no wrong and after so many years in the game he’s still pumping out lods of great releases, including “Control Your Body” and “Pump Your Fist.” These two happy, yet energetic tracks are mind-opening and will truly help hard dance fans appreciate the roots from a whole different angle.
Scott Brown – Pump Your Fist
Tha Playah & Promo feat. Snowflake – Down Below
Tha Playah and Promo do no wrong with their track “Down Below,” an atmospheric and emotional number that will steal your heart.
The Viper – Heat Blaster
I’m not going to lie, I absolutely LOVE what The Viper has been doing with his sound over the past year. He’s moved a lot more into the Freestyle arena, leaving him a lot more room to experiment with tempo, sounds and styles. His track “Heat Blaster” isn’t much faster than hardstyle, but it still has those key hardcore elements which add a certain charm to it.
The Viper & Korsakoff – Temptation
Korsakoff is another example of an artist who has been crossing over to Freestyle. Teaming up with The Viper the pair created the incredible, atmospheric “Temptation,” a track that throws hardcore into a curveball.
The Viper & Nosferatu – Kingdom Come
Titan & DV8 Rocks! – Flip Uhm op Z’n Kantje (Tha Playah Remix)
The original was already pretty fucking good, but once Tha Playah got his hands on it, all hell broke loose! This one’s on repeat; I can’t get enough of it, even though I don’t understand what the fuck it’s about.
Tommyknocker – Winners
Mr. Tommyknocker amps it up with “Winners,” which is a hard and fast floor-filler that throws all rules out of the window.
The Melodyst – Fallen Angels
The Viper & Re-Style feat. Diesel – Night & Day
Melodic, catchy and able to fit itself on any stage. Those vocals and earlier feels bring back those good vibes to hardcore!
Wavolizer – Seth
Now, I’m not the biggest fan of crossbreed or industrial hardcore, but this track is so fucking interesting! The minute details in it are incredible; Wavolizer is such an innovative producer, whether it be in his former hardstyle sound or in his newer sound. I’ve added in another one of his tracks below simply because his music is just so damn fascinating!
Wavolizer – Forward
2 Brothers On The 4th Floor – Come Take My Hand (The Viper Remix)
Hardcore legend The Viper gives his own twist on this classic happy hardcore track from 1996! This killer remix shows undying respect to the original and also proves that hardcore doesn’t have to push too many boundaries.
It’s time to fall back in love with hardcore! We hope that you found our choices somewhat interesting and if you have any other recommendations from 2015 feel free to leave them in the comments below.
