When In Amsterdam… 5 Reasons To Attend C.R.A.F.T Festival!
On the 25th of July, (and in less than two weeks) the ultimate gathering of the harder styles will occur in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. C.R.A.F.T Festival has undoubtedly been one of the biggest standouts in festival season since it’s first outdoor edition on the 26th of July, 2014. With the huge success of the first edition, Lose Your Mind had the ultimate goal to make this years’ edition bigger and better. Bringing in the big guns to create the perfect production, booking the A-team of artists to represent the different stages and gathering a fuckload of dedicated hardstyle fans worldwide, CRAFT is certainly going to be an event that visitors look back on with a smile on their face. As partygoers, this is one of the parties that we’ve the most excited for and as we tick off the days in our calendars and count down the days, we thought we’d excite you all with some reasons why this years’ edition will exceed all expectations!
1. Because you really won’t remember a fucking thing:
The name of the festival really holds justice to the real life happenings of when an individual steps into the NDSM Wharf. CRAFT, the abbreviation of “can’t remember a fucking thing” ensures that you will have a sick time, drink shitloads of beer, (or other alcoholic beverages) and most importantly, dance until your feet look like they’ve had an allergic reaction. The following day you are likely to wake up with a slght amnesia, but you will know deep inside that you had ‘the best day evaaaahhhh!’
The concept of C.R.A.F.T Festival is pretty much dedicated to the art of being turnt and we are so happy that an organisation finally has explicitly dedicated a whole festival to drunken antics. We think that some organisations take themselves too seriously so it’s nice to see that someone out there is celebrating the possibilities of alcohol… let’s drink to that! All we can say is, prepare your bodies, because the 25th of July is bringing one hell of a drunken ride!
2. There’s something for everyone:
When we asked the owner of Lose Your Mind about creating lineups he stated that “We’re always looking for the newest names that can be the upcoming headliners, it’s good to support young guys and keep the scene alive. At this moment, the whole raw hype is at his highest point and for us it’s now the time to search for a new sound.”
The planned stages for this years’ edition not only support established artists, but also support upcoming names that have the ability to bring something unique into our scene. This is appealing because we don’t want to attend a 100% raw or 100% euphoric festival, variety is offered that covers the whole spectrum of the harder styles.
For those who like it rough, the ‘Reckless’ stage will be the place for you and for those who like it even faster, the ‘World Of Hardcore’ stage is your calling. The stage that I’m most curious to see is the ‘Access’ stage – I feel as though Lose Your Mind hit the nail on the head with this one, booking a variety of artists that have an accessible and diverse sound such as Wasted Penguinz, Phuture Noize, Code Black, Waverider, Geck-o and many more!
For those who want to see some of the biggest names in the hardstyle scene, the Penoze stage is calling your name! Specialising mostly in artists who bring a raw and energetic sound, this stage is also home to the four huge live-acts Gunz For Hire, Titanomachy, Frequencerz and Warface.

3. DE FUCKING TIJDMACHINE:
Reverse bass, funky melodies, old-school vibes and oh… LADY FUCKING DANA. De Tijdmachine has proved to be a huge success before and with this years stellar lineup, my estimations urge that this stage will be one of the highlights of the day. With pioneering names such as Wildstylez, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Josh & Wesz, Noisecontrollers, Zany and more to bless the decks, this stage will take you on one magical trip down memory lane.
Last year in December, De Tijdmachine had it’s own event and was notorious for the reuniting of Audiofreq and Code Black as their former act Bioweapon. Miracles and magic happens at the beloved Tijdmachine, so be sure to check it out sometime during the event! Honouring the roots of the genre is so important, especially nowadays as the older sounds are making their comeback and Lose Your Mind has hit the nail on the head with the inclusion of De Tijdmachine at this years edition of CRAFT.
You will also be likely to find the Alive At Night crew somewhere at this stage, dancing around in an obliterated state whilst mumbling miscellaneous quotes into a voice recorder… Reverse bass and the golden era of hardstyle has some pretty amazing effects on us.
4. The location is like no other…
Industrial, underground, unique and edgy are just a few words to describe the NDSM Wharf which is the location for this years’ CRAFT Festival. The concept of CRAFT really ties in with the industrial vibe that this location brings, it’s as if the gathering of the harder styles is almost set up like an illegal rave.
Forget traveling for hours to some field in a tiny little town in the middle of Noord-Brabant, this festival is just a short ferry ride away from Amsterdam Centraal and gives a real urban-industrial feel as opposed to attending an event that’s based around farmland. Also with a setting on the water that overlooks the beautiful city of Amsterdam, this location is one of the most distinctive sites in the world of festivals. What better way to spend your Saturday than getting drunk amongst a pile of industrial ‘stuff’ and discovering some of the cities most best kept secrets?
5. It’s organised by some of the best:
Lose Your Mind are pioneering when it comes to creating event concepts, putting on a great show and ensuring that visitors have the time of their life! Becoming one of the leading names in the scene in such a short amount of time, the guys behind LYM know everything and anything about the trade from bar-tending to booking and designing.
With past successes such as De Tijdmachine, Reckless, World Of Hardcore, Art Of War and the 2014 edition of CRAFT behind their belts, LYM honours the spectrum of the harder styles, they pay a lot of attention to the smaller details and well, they made a festival that’s solely dedicated to celebrate alcohol… that’s pretty cool, right? Lose Your Mind promises the full package with this years edition of CRAFT and we don’t doubt for a second that they will bring exactly that.

We cannot wait to see what Lose Your Mind comes up with and we also cannot wait to lose our own minds! See you all on the 25th of July!
