#TBT – A well deserved tribute to Angerfist’s “Retaliate”

Okay, I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the sun floating through sassy Scorpio, but I’ve been blessed with an extra inclination to appreciate Hardcore music. 150BPM just isn’t cutting it for me this week, so it only seemed logical to crank up the tempo and spotlight a very special track, crafted by Hardcore’s most prominent figurehead. It’s a fact; even the general public voted this special someone as the ‘Highest Hard’ (or in DJ Mag’s rookie error – House) artist.

Let’s get cracking and pay our respects to one of Angerfist’s finest tracks… I’m indeed talking about his 2011 release “Retaliate.”

If Angerfist is known for one thing, it’s his endless supply of creativity and knack for producing hit after hit. From the moment he released his very first track, the Hardcore scene knew that this project would flourish into something extremely special as Angerfist continued to prove himself with ever-expanding productions.

As part of his third album, the titled track “Retaliate” instantly blew up into the stratosphere and became one of Hardcore’s most defining tracks of that era. I cannot explain the rush of exhilaration I feel whenever I hear this fast, yet powerful ass-kicker being belted out at a party. There’s something so simple, yet effective about Angerfist’s productions as he boasts a straight-forward, no bullshit approach to the genre.
