Gather round, music people and industry professionals – HDE is just less than two weeks away! “HDE? Hard Dance Event? What’s that?”, you ask. Well, whilst Dance Fair (held in February) is themed around the music itself and aimed mostly at producers and music makers, Amsterdam Dance Event (the ‘mother event’) covers not only the likes of music and music production, but also everything else, from publishing to sustainable event management and therefore aimed at all kinds of professionals working in the industry. So as a part of ADE, HDE (Hard Dance Event) is THE event for professionals working in or with all kinds of hard dance music! So if you’re a pro or beginner in the harder styles that’s still looking for some excuses to go, we’ve got you covered! Here are five reasons to attend HDE!

1) Expanding Your Network

Imagine there’s a place where promoters, event organizers, artists, managers, press and all kinds of other relevant people meet: Representatives from all kinds of platforms including those who are designers, publishers, the big players, the innovators and so much more will be present and willing to make time for conversations. Another appeal is that The Melkweg is a venue that’s not a loud-as-fuck backstage area where you have to repeatedly scream “WHAT?!” in order to understand somebody’s sentence.
Ever wanted to talk pitch your new ideas and concepts to other industry professionals? It’s possible! HDE connects all kinds of people from the industry in one spot. Introduce yourself, exchange business cards, the latest gossip, the freshest ideas and get to know each other! HDE is the perfect spot for it!

If things are organised similarly compared to last years’ edition, every attendee will receive a name tag with his or her name on there and their given association – which makes remembering names easy (“Hey, can I take a pic of this, so I can add you on LinkedIn?”) and chatting people up (“Ahhh! 2) Catching up on new industry trends!

The seminars and panels are fundamental part of HDE. Industry trends, new technologies, strategies, production, marketing and management are just a few topics that will be covered this year and there’s pretty much a panel for everyone! While “HDE: University” focused on what’s happening in and around the scene, “HDE: Pro” and “HDE: Conference” are the place to be for every established industry professional and those who want to step in. No matter if you’re a beginning manager, looking for inspiration from the big guys, an aspiring producer wanting to know what’s going on behind the scenes or an established promoter looking for new ideas – attending the panels is a must!

3) We’re there!

Speaking of the panels: HOLY SHIEEEET, SON. WE’RE THERE! Our notorious b0$$bitCH and Hunter. S. Thompson of Hardstyle Journalism, Cassi, will not just be moderating several panels, but also be part of the “Hard Reports” panel together with all other big players in the Press of the harder styles! Be sure you don’t miss it because “shit’s gon’ be lit as fuck”! Co-Founder and Tech/MGMT-bae Sara will be running around as well – so feel free to chat us up and get to know our professional side!

4) It’s part of ADE

Amsterdam Dance Event is amazing. The entire inner city with its most important clubs and venues will be dedicated to dance music for an entire week! Professional’s paradise with a good amount of music events in the evening, which are also open to the public! All styles of electronic music, from techno over house to hardstyle, gathered in one place, exchanging ideas, music and knowledge. From “going green”, over new technologies and opportunities to musical showcases and parties – Amsterdam Dance Event is THE place to be in October.

5) Fun, socializing and catching up!

Next to all the networking and business talk you can do at HDE, a big part of the event you’ll be spending catching up with friends, business partners or having a small beer.
