Artist Of The Month – March 2015!
As the minus degrees start to slip away and our celebratory spirits begin to reappear after their Winter hiatus, we feel alive as we begin to ditch our fluffy coats and comfort food. Indoor parties are coming to a wrap and the pressures on for artists to blow the socks off organisers and fans when approaching this year’s festival season. Some artists are caving in and taking the easy route to please the crowds and some artists are staying true to their creativity as they hold their innovative image stronger than ever. For this months “Artist Of The Month,” we have chosen one particular act who have been on the steady rise and have not given up their fight to remain as the funniest and most entertaining guys in the scene.
After witnessing their magic twice in February at Xxlerator Carnaval and Reverze, Da Tweekaz have definitely kept their game strong since wrapping up their #Tweekay14 project last year. Whether there’s two or two thousand people in a venue, these guys always bringing the fun and energy to every single performance and their undying passion towards hardstyle and the scene is something that has not gone unnoticed.
As natural born comedians too, Da Tweekaz are always making us laugh during interviews and not to mention when they stroll through the crowd to have casual conversations with their fans. If there’s a way to show thankfulness towards their fans, these two crazy Norwegians have nailed it!

So let’s backtrack slightly, where did Da Tweekaz come from?
Well we all should know that Kenth Kvien & Marcus Nordli were born in the 80’s and hail from the chilly temperatures of Norway where they kicked their career off in 2008 when they released “The Past/Da Bomba”. Their first release on Dirty Workz set the standard high and since then, these two ‘cheese police’ (ha-ha) have been unstoppable in all of their productions. Tracks such as “Real Love,” their bootleg of Disney’s “Frozen,” “Music Is My Drug” and “Break The Spell” have easily become new age classics and their #tweekay14 project wound up to be an absolutely huge success. With the challenge of releasing one track accompanied by a video clip each month in 2014, these guys nailed the concept and kept their name flying high within the hardstyle scene.
Going directly against the fad of screeches that sound like a dying cat and overwhelmingly hard kicks, Da Tweekaz have stayed true to their fun and uniquely euphoric sound and these guys deserve a hell of a lot of credit for this! These masterminds can even use the vocals from a parody Australian TV show about a girl dying from ecstasy and still manage to make a hit! Now everybody knows that Jessica is a slut and has a habit for ecstasy… Pure magic I say!
For some reason, a lot of raw hardstyle fans even love Da Tweekaz simply because there is nothing to hate about their music, about the guys behind the act and their magical performances. Casting international crowds under their spell, this duo has performed at prestigious parties in countries such as Australia, The Netherlands, The United States, Switzerland, Germany, Canada and many more.
After a smashing 2014 where they grabbed the well deserved #66 position in the DJ Mag Top 100, in 2015, things are going to remain on a high note for this down to Earth duo. We cannot wait to hear what they have cooked up in their Tweeka pot of magic, so keep up the great work guys and we hope to catch more of your performances this year!
