With Midnight Mafia less than a month away, it’s well and truly time to get keen for what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest parties for the hard dance scene this year. What better way to get keen then to talk to the artists themselves and see what they have to say?
I caught up with Italian hardstyle veteran Tatanka for a moment with the Midnight Mafia:
1.) Being a bodyguard means undergoing all sorts of training to become a professional. Did you have any mentors early in your career, or would you consider yourself more self-trained?
I come from the street and I’ve learned all I know the hard way: life has been my mentor.
2.) About halfway through March you mentioned on Facebook you had collaborations with Zatox, Rob Gee and a mystery third person in the works, as well as a solo release coming up too. How do you find time to do all of these things at once?
3.) Can we get even a small hint about who you’re working with on that mysterious third collaboration?
4.) Your DJ name, ‘Tatanka’ is a Native American term for Bison. What inspired you to use such a word as your primary alias?
5.) In your opinion, what makes Italian hardstyle unique?
